Winter ready
On my first day outside (I’m feeling much better) I start making the garden ready for the winter. Gather the leaves (the trees are all barren now) and putting the barbecue and the garden furniture inside. And draining the taps so they don’t freeze over.
Let the snow arrive!

Wat een artistieke trappen daar aan de overkant. Is dat het canadese equivalent van een portiektrap, of is het een ludieke branduitgang?

Those outside stairs are a MontrĂ©al thing. Stairs to the upper appartments are almost always outdoors so they don’t take away space from the ground floor appartments. And also to collect a lot of snowfall in the winter, to keep their tennents happy.

We can’t imagine here that it’s normal to have snow. Today 3 different Sankt Nicolauses were coming into 3 different places of our city. Maybe they saw each other on the boats! And the walkers of the marathon were walking against the stream. Dutch people are good organised…!
