Moths

Dealing with the infestation of Pantry Moths (Indian Meal Moths) we empty the whole pantry, clean everything with warm soapy water and remove and throw out all food items and packages with traces of bugs, worms or pupas. In total we throw out about three garbage bags of food…
After that we clean the pantry very well and spray insecticide inside it. I’m not a big fan but spraying regularly during 6 weeks (the life cycle of the bugs) is apparently the only way to finally get rid of the critters. They are not that bad actually, and pretty harmless, but if there are so many of them they eat your food before you can.

Uh oh, and this just after us discussing the advantages of a moth-free diet… (No rice, cereal or crackers, but didn’t we decide that pasta would be okay with Canadian moths? This is your chance to try it out!)
Nice overview of your kitchen, by the way.

Hey,
Finally I do see your kitchen finished: it has become a beauty. We like the colour red, as you might have guessed after visiting our house.
I myself am still cleaning & painting on a daily basis: very refreshing!
And since a week we have a cleaning lady named Maria (Brazilian of course), which is a luxurious feeling.
We’ll send you some pictures of Christian soon! Ta! Dr. D.

i had those a long time ago. i went crazy and wouldn’t keep any food anywhere but in a plastic container for a few years. then i calmed down. but i know that if i see one larvae in my cereal again i’ll go crazy again. something very primitive about having bugs in your food, y’know? like AAAAAGGGGHHH!
